Be the change you want to see in the world

We offer one-to-one coaching as a follow-up to a particular session, as part of a wider programme of work, or as a standalone service.

As well as offering direct coaching, we also offer training and facilitation around using a ‘coaching approach’ and embedding a ‘coaching culture’ in your team or organisation.

It was excellent to have a coach to support me in what turned into a time of great change. I particularly benefitted from having an external safe space to talk in.
— Mary O’Connell, Funding Manager, Misean Cara, Ireland

What is coaching?

The term ‘coaching’ means many different things to different people, but it is generally about helping individuals to find their own solutions to challenges they face.

Our starting point is always that everyone has all of the resources they ultimately need. When we coach, we don’t advise or teach but use powerful questioning and active listening to encourage and challenge the coachee to meet their goals in a sustainable way.

My coach’s ability to convey a deep positively and strong grounding in what really matters was so helpful.
— Shivani Singhal, Head of Dharohar, India

What are the benefits of coaching?

We had real, honest and purposeful conversations. My coach was very warm, good at listening, and ready to probe further while being very affirming and respectful.
— Séamus O'Gorman, Head of Global Citizenship Education, Children in Crossfire, Ireland

Caplor House Coaching Tool

We have a unique model known as the Caplor Coaching Way. This approach is structured around our Caplor House model, which guides the coaching process in a way that is straightforward, flexible and focused on the coachee’s needs.

The journey begins with building rapport in the Family Room, where we explore the coachee’s values, beliefs, and preferences. We then move to the Library for goal setting, or to the Observatory for a more visionary and creative approach. The coaching process also involves exploring the coachee’s current reality and options before moving to the Kitchen, where actionable plans are made.

I am certain that I am further down the road and going in a better direction than I would have been without the challenge and support of a Caplor coach.
— Laura Adams, Sustainability Consultant, UK

How do we ensure the quality and impact of our coaching?

Quality and impact are at the heart of our coaching practice. We adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain high standards through regular reflection and evaluation.

Our coaches are supported in their development, ensuring they remain confident, competent, and creative in their practice. We also measure the impact of our coaching through surveys and feedback, ensuring that it makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our coachees and their organisations.

Going into this I was a little apprehensive or perhaps cynical, but I have had my mind completely moved. My Caplor Coach has helped me see myself far more clearly in a professional context perhaps more than at any time through my career. I have come out of the process with far more self-belief and confidence.
— Richard Mills, Managing Director of Growing Systems, Haygrove, UK
