What we do

We develop resilient leaders, effective organisations, and contribute to a thriving world

Our three core areas of work are around…

  • Transforming leadership is at the centre of how we bring about change.

We integrate leadership development into everything we do, facilitate tailored leadership programmes for organisations, and provide coaching for individuals and groups.

  • We support teams and organisations to lead change. We do this through bespoke ‘leading change’ programmes, and specific workstreams such as renewing strategy, strengthening organisational culture, improving structure and enabling effective governance.

  • We amplify the impact of the organisations we work with in our role as a convenor, connector, ally and advocate.

We also extend the reach of our own learning.

What makes us distinctive

None of these elements alone are distinctive, but it is the combination of the three that sets us apart

  • We work with not-for-profits and businesses dedicated to sustainable change prioritising the interconnected issues affecting displaced people, women and children, and the environment. Our business model enables us to subsidise high-value support to those who need it most.

  • We are inspired by and passionate about the work of our clients and partners. We support and enable you to be at your best when you need it the most. We bring our experience and understanding to today’s issues with a curiosity and open-mindedness for learning. We have developed proven and distinctive tools and models, including the Caplor House.

  • We work with a diverse pool of clients, from small start-ups to global complex organisations. We have stimulating ways of working that challenge and support leaders to learn, think, and act differently. Short term client relationships often develop into deeper partnerships. We also make connections and share ideas, learning and experiences across our vibrant Caplor community.

What do people say

FAQs

  • We believe that everyone is a leader! However, we know that the term ‘leader’ might be associated with the boss or CEO. That’s why we use ‘change maker’. Whether you are a volunteer, entrepreneur, activist, founder, CEO or staff member, we believe that everyone can make positive change and have an influence on others.

  • The term ‘coaching’ means many different things to different people, but it is generally about helping individuals to find their own solutions to challenges they face.

Our starting point is always that everyone has all of the resources they ultimately need. When we coach, we don’t advise or teach but use powerful questioning and active listening to encourage and challenge the coachee to meet their goals in a sustainable way.

  • We are a not-for-profit, meaning we do not seek to generate a profit but aim to cover our costs while ensuring our services remain accessible to those that need it most. We vary our fees based on the financial resources of our clients. More well-resourced organisations (e.g. businesses and larger NGOs) are charged higher rates which in turn offsets the price for smaller charities who benefit from lower rates or, in some cases, pro bono support.

Pricing depends on the type and length of support you need, and we’ll always be upfront about costs. Get in touch for a chat, and we’ll work out what suits you best.
